Protea Hotel Imvubu Lodge sets itself apart from all other hotels by being different, it is not your ordinary Hotel or what the customer would perceive as an ordinary hotel. Situated only 1,5 hours from Durban, the lodge provide guests with the ideal location from which to explore the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront, the International heritage site of Lake St Lucia and two world class game reserves boasting the Big 5.

- STANDARD CHALETS
Consists of one bedroom with a double bed, one en-suite bathroom and have tea / coffee making facilities. Each chalet has air-conditioning, DSTV and is within walking distance from the beach. Linen and towels are provided and the chalet is serviced daily. Sleeps maximum 2 adults. We have 12 standard chalets at our hotel.
- SUPERIOR CHALETS
Consists of one bedroom, with two single beds / one double bed, one en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. Each chalet has air-conditioning, DSTV, private braai facilities and is within walking distance from the beach. Each chalet is serviced daily and linen / towels are provided. Sleeps a maximum of 2 adults and one small child. We have 17 superior chalets at our hotel.
- DELUXE CHALETS / LAKE VIEW CHALETS
Consists of two bedrooms, an on-suite bathroom for each room, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area. Each chalet has air-conditioning, DSTV, private braai facilities and is within walking distance from the beach. Each chalet is serviced daily and linen / towels are provided. Sleeps Maximum 4 adults and two children. We have 7 Deluxe chalets at our hotel, and 2 Lake view chalets.

- BANQUETING
Management delegates in search of a quiet up market venue to host a conference, need look no further. Our Conference Centre is able to comfortably seat up to 140 people. We cater for a variety of functions including conferences, product launches, presentations and weddings. The venue is technologically advanced, fully air-conditioned, with a entertainment deck, overlooking Lake Menywa with a fully licensed bar.
We entertain dignitaries on a regular basis from local government, ministers and counsellors to corporate organizations. We also had the pleasure of hosting King Goodwill Zwillitini-King of the Zulus. Please contact us for more information on all packages available.

A stunning view of Lake Menywa to complement a sumptuous meal, coupled with superb service and a romantic setting, “In the reeds” restaurant paves the way for Protea Hotel Lodge as the venue of choice for the discerning diner. The restaurant gives guests the opportunity to experience an unforgettable breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We have a private deck that can be booked for romantic candlelight dinners for engagements, anniversaries and corporate guests. A birdwatchers paradise the restaurant deck offers guests opportunities to spot a variety of species on our doorstep.
